The Staithes Art Festival is a vibrant celebration of creativity and community that transforms Staithes into a bustling hub of artistic expression each year.
This much-anticipated festival showcases the work of both local and national artists, offering a diverse array of art forms, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, and photography.
The 2026 Staithes Art Festival will be held on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September, with a preview night on Friday 11th September from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
One of the unique aspects of the festival is the way it integrates with the village’s historic charm. Many exhibitions are hosted in local homes, cottages, and public spaces, creating pop-up galleries in a unique selling exhibition. This intimate setting allows visitors to engage closely with the artists and their work, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The Art Festival was established in 2012 and last year it made donations to 36 local organizations.
